Anyone Can Come to Jesus Christ

Don’t ever write anyone off.

Not your prodigal child. Not your nonbelieving husband or wife. Not that coworker who antagonizes you every day. Not even the person who has set themselves up as your enemy.

Jesus is for everyone. He can reach anyone. Someone may be under Satan’s control today, but tomorrow they could be transformed by Christ.  

No Matter Someone’s Age

Years ago, at a Harvest Crusade in Santa Barbara, a 90-year-old man walked forward during the invitation to follow Christ.

His wife, a devoted Christian, had prayed for him all her life. On her deathbed, she pleaded with him to give his life to Jesus. He refused.

But at that crusade, he finally surrendered after his granddaughter urged him to go down on the field. He prayed the sinner’s prayer and said afterward: “Now I know what my wife was talking about. Now I know that I’m going to see her again!”

Even the most unlikely person can come to Christ.

No Matter Someone’s Past

Michael Franzese is another amazing story. Once a feared member of the Colombo crime family—a real-life mobster—Michael became a born again Christian.

While in prison, a guard slipped a Bible through his door. Proverbs 16:7 stopped him cold: “When a man’s ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.”

Michael saw his need for God and left prison a transformed man, committed to Jesus.

Not even a mobster is beyond God’s reach. God reached into the darkness and completely changed his life.
