Support evangelism in 2026!

Greg Laurie is the senior pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship, a church founded during the Jesus Movement in Southern California in the 1970s. Greg began his pastoral ministry at the age of 19, leading a small Bible study group of 30 individuals. Over the past five decades, God has grown that small group into a thriving congregation of over 8,000 members, with three thriving church campuses in California and one in Hawaii.

In the early 1970s, Greg also launched a global evangelism ministry called Harvest Ministries. Using modern media and technology, such as radio, television, websites, social media, YouTube, and theatrical films, Harvest Ministries reaches over one billion people every year with the gospel and has seen more than one million individuals profess faith in Jesus Christ in its history.

In 1990, Laurie founded the Harvest Crusades, a series of large-scale evangelistic events designed to present the gospel to broad audiences in stadiums and arenas across the United States and beyond. 120 Harvest Crusades have been held with over 11 million people in total attendance, including the 2016 event at Dallas Cowboys Stadium, which remains one of the largest gospel presentations in U.S. history.

His media presence extends to hosting A New Beginning, a nationally syndicated radio program broadcast on over 1,200 stations worldwide. He also hosts Harvest + Greg Laurie, a weekly television program featured on major networks, including Fox Business, Newsmax, KCAL 9 Los Angeles, and the Trinity Broadcasting Network. Laurie is also a frequent guest on national news programs.

Laurie also leads the Harvest Relief Fund, a humanitarian initiative that provides both material aid and spiritual support to communities affected by crises in the name of Jesus. In recent years, the fund has supported thousands of individuals affected by wildfires in Lahaina, on the island of Maui, and in Los Angeles.

In addition to his pastoral and media work, Laurie has held several national leadership roles. He served as the Honorary Chairman of the National Day of Prayer and the White House Faith Office pastoral group, and he currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. He holds honorary doctorates from Biola University and Azusa Pacific University.

A prolific author, Laurie has written over 70 books, including House of David, Billy Graham: The Man I KnewSteve McQueen: The Salvation of an American Icon, Revelation: A Book of Promises, and Jesus Revolution. He is also the general editor of the ECPA-award-winning New Believer’s Bible, which is one of the bestselling Bibles in US history with more than 10 million copies in print.

His filmography includes Lost Boy: The Next Chapter, Hope for Hurting Hearts, Steve McQueen: American Icon, Johnny Cash: The Redemption of an American Icon, A Rush of Hope, and Fame. In 2023, Greg and Cathe Laurie’s life and conversion during the Jesus Movement of the 1960s and ‘70s were depicted in the Lionsgate film Jesus Revolution, starring Kelsey Grammer and Jonathan Roumie.

Greg’s passion and calling in life is to reach unexpected people, in unexpected places, with an unexpected message of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Greg Laurie has been married to Cathe Laurie for over 52 years. They have two sons and five grandchildren.
